My Journey as a Photographer
My journey with photography began on family trips as a kid, where I learned to shoot on a digital camera in Yellowstone, Glacier, West Texas, and Alaska. Inspired by my parents’ collection of prints from masters like Ansel Adams, Michael Kenna, and Yousuf Karsh, I fell in love with capturing the textures and moods of the natural world.
While studying digital media production and communication at Tulane University, I explored multiple creative outlets, including filmmaking to writing. But photography has always been my first love. After college, I moved from New Orleans to Austin to Dallas to San Diego to Cleveland before finally settling in San Diego. It's hard to beat the coastal bliss and beauty of America's Finest City.
Today, I combine my background in marketing with a passion for visual storytelling. My work focuses on portraits and brand imagery for travel and hospitality clients, inspired by the same sense of wonder that sparked my first photographs.
